Mr. Mottiwala has served as our President and Chief Executive Officer and as a member of our board of directors since July 2026. He brings more than 25 years of leadership experience across the biopharmaceutical and medical technology industries, with a track record of building organizations, scaling businesses and leading growth strategies across multiple therapeutic areas, including nearly 20 years in eye care.

Prior to joining RxSight, Mr. Mottiwala served as Chief Commercial Officer of Tarsus Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he was responsible for the company’s commercial strategy and execution. Previously, he served as Chief Commercial Officer of Opiant Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which was acquired by Indivior PLC, and as Senior Vice President and Head of Commercial at Avanir Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which was acquired by Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.

Mr. Mottiwala also spent more than 10 years at Allergan plc, now part of AbbVie Inc., in a series of increasingly senior leadership roles. Most recently, he served as Vice President of Marketing for the company’s eye care franchise, where he helped lead strategy and execution across a broad portfolio of pharmaceutical, medical device and consumer eye care products.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Mottiwala held commercial leadership roles at Valeant Pharmaceuticals, IMS Health, now IQVIA, and Aventis Pharmaceuticals, now Sanofi. Mr. Mottiwala is also heavily active in the community and serves on the board of local non profits One OC and Octane.  He earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.B.A. in Marketing and Finance from the USC Marshall School of Business.
